OAKLAND, Calif. -- Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson will miss three more games while recovering from a bout with pneumonia.
The team said Friday that Nelson would return after the Warriors' game next Tuesday in Denver. Golden State plays the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday and Indiana on Monday. Nelson already missed two games in Texas because of the illness.
Top assistant Keith Smart is coaching the Warriors during Nelson's absence.
The 69-year-old Nelson is the second-winningest coach in NBA history.
