Cavs' Davis leaves team after grandmother's death

CLEVELAND (AP) - Cavaliers guard Baron Davis will not play against Milwaukee following the death of his grandmother.

Lela "Madea" Nicholson passed away Monday in Los Angeles, the team said. She was 89. Davis did not travel with the team and has returned to California to be with his family. The Cavaliers, who play the Bucks on Wednesday night, said there is no specific date for Davis' return.

Davis is wearing No. 85 for the Cavaliers in honor of his grandmother, who raised him in a house on 85th St. in south central Los Angeles. Davis was recently acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers.
