--F Damien Wilkins got his first start of the season against Miami Wednesday and scored nine points in place of Tayshaun Prince, who missed the game with a family matter. Wilkins held LeBron James to 11 first-half points but wasn't guarding James in the late going because he played shooting guard after Rodney Stuckey fouled out. Prince is expected to return for the home game against Atlanta on Friday.
--F Jonas Jerebko had seven points and six rebounds against the Heat. He is averaging 7.8 ppg and 6.2 rpg since being moved to the bench six games ago in favor of Ben Wallace. That switch has given the Pistons' second unit a little more scoring punch as Wallace is averaging just 1.1 ppg.
--C Greg Monroe had 20 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday, his first 20-point performance in seven games. Monroe got off to a slow start, missing two first-quarter layups, but kept challenging Miami's big men and finally broke through after shooting 32.7 percent in the previous five games. He also added a team-best three steals.
--F Charlie Villanueva (right ankle soreness) has missed the last 12 games and is out indefinitely.
--G Will Bynum (sprained right foot) has missed seven consecutive games and is doubtful to play Friday against Atlanta.
--G Ben Gordon (sore left shoulder) has missed the last three games and is doubtful Friday.
--F Tayshaun Prince (personal reasons) missed Wednesday's game against Miami and is probable to play Friday.
