--The Pacers are one of nine teams that have been selected to wear retro uniforms during the NBA's Hardwood Classics month celebrating the 45th anniversary of the American Basketball Association. They'll wear retro uniforms eight times between Jan. 31 and March 31. They were part of the ABA from 1967 to 1976.
--The Pacers nearly let Celtics forward Paul Pierce outscore them in the third quarter. Pierce scored 17 of Boston's 29 points in the quarter. The Pacers scored 27 points in the quarter. Pierce finished with 28 points. "Hats off to Paul, he turned back the clock, obviously playing like one of the best players in the league again, carrying the load for them," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said.
