Bobcats' butter-fingers costly

  •

--Impressive as the Bulls were Friday, even without MVP Derrick Rose (out with a sore lower back), much of the Bobcats' pain was self-inflicted. They committed 16 turnovers, resulting in 27 Chicago points. It also didn't help that the Bobcats shot 1-of-8 from three-point range.

--Corey Maggette starting again likely means Tyrus Thomas goes to the bench and plays mostly power forward again. About 15 pounds lighter than last season, Thomas really doesn't have the bulk to play power forward, but he's not effective as a small forward, and Brown is on the rise as the backup at that position.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's bad for the fans, bad for us. Yeah, we're young, but we can't keep using that as an excuse." -- Derrick Brown, on the Bobcats' 28 days without a victory.
