Poor free-throw shooting dooms Pacers
--The Pacers did themselves in by missing 10 free throws in the first half. They finished 26-of-37 from the line. "I think that's a big reason why we lost the game," F Danny Granger said. "We execute our offense and we want to get fouled. We should have been up going into the half. We kind of shot ourselves in the foot and Memphis took advantage of it and won the game."
--F Danny Granger knows his early-season slump cost him a chance at making the Eastern Conference All-Star team as a reserve. He was last in the league in field goal percentage at one point. He's not much better now -- 103rd in the league. He's shooting a career-low 37.5 percent from the field. "Across the board, if you want to compare numbers, my numbers are probably identical to (Atlanta's) Joe Johnson's minus my field goal percentage," Granger said. "That's what did me in, the first 10-15 games. I'm not worried about it."
QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's not like we lost to bad teams. We lost to Atlanta and Memphis, both playoff teams on the road. They outplayed us. We just haven't been playing up to our standard of late." -- F Danny Granger, on their back-to-back losses.
