Another win after a rare loss

  •

--Oklahoma City dropped a rare game Thursday night at Sacramento, but the Thunder didn't let that affect the team the following night at Utah. Oklahoma City bounced back with a 101-87 win over the Jazz.

The Thunder's record improved to 7-2 in the second or third games of back-to-back or back-to-back-to-back sets this season. Oklahoma City is also 5-1 in games coming after a loss.

--Oklahoma City might still be one of the youngest teams in the league, but there is definitely a veteran feel to the Thunder. Nazr Mohammed and Nick Collison may be the team's old faces, but guys in their 20's like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden have a maturity beyond their years.

Thunder players understand their roles, and that's one of the reasons Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks doesn't hesitate mixing and matching matchups depending on situation.

"Coach has a lot of faith in all the guys in our rotation, even the guys that aren't in the rotation," Collison said. "We have a lot of talent here and we have a lot of guys that are pretty smart basketball players, too. I think he has faith in putting whoever out there depending on matchups."

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We're a tough group of guys and when the road hits we know what time it is. You can't lose two or three or four games in a row if you want to be an elite team and we know that, and we're getting better each and every season and every game. If we lose, we take it personal. We come back the next game and come ready to play." -- Guard Russell Westbrook, after Friday's win at Utah.
