PLAYER NOTES

--G Russell Westbrook doesn't fear close games simply based on experience. "We've been in so many different situations since I've been here for the last three years," said Westbrook, who had 28 points in Friday's win at Utah. "We know how to close games now. We know it takes defense to close games."

--F Serge Ibaka was hot early Friday at Utah, topping his season scoring average of 7.5 points with eight in the first quarter. He ended up with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

--F Kevin Durant is accustomed to carry the load, so nights such as Friday may come as a shock to some. But the NBA's third-leading scorer is more than content with contributing 19 points and five rebounds, as long as Oklahoma City wins.

MEDICAL WATCH

--G Eric Maynor (knee) tore his right ACL and is out for the season. The backup was averaging 4.8 points and 2.9 assists.

--G Thabo Sefolosha missed his eighth straight game Friday with a sore right foot.
