Roster Report
PLAYER NOTES
--G Kyrie Irving, who suffered a concussion in the Miami game last Tuesday, got some good news. Coach Byron Scott said Irving was elevated to do some cardio work on a stationary bike. "I don't know if he's symptom-free," he said. Irving has missed the last three games. Scott said there's a possibility Irving could play on Wednesday vs. Indiana. "I'm not going to jump the gun," Scott said.
--G Ramon Sessions might not be of interest to the Knicks anymore, given the play of guard Jeremy Lin, who has been the talk of the NBA. The Cavs still want a first-round pick for Sessions. The Knicks don't have a first-rounder to offer.
--G Ben Uzoh, signed to a 10-day contract on Friday from the D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers, insists he's a point guard. However, he was known as a combo guard when he was in college at Tulsa and with the New Jersey Nets. Coach Byron Scott said the Cavs scouts said Uzoh was the best point guard in the D-League. He has the reputation of being an outstanding athlete. He's hoping to make a quick impression on the Cavs. He could stick past his 10-day contract, especially if Sessions is traded (as expected). Many clamored for the return of guard Manny Harris from the D-League Canton Charge, but that doesn't appear likely to happen.
MEDICAL WATCH
--C Anderson Varejao (broken right wrist) missed the Philadelphia game. He will miss at least a month, maybe longer.
--G Kyrie Irving (concussion) has missed the last three games. He was cleared to do some cardio work on Saturday. There's a chance he could return for the Indiana game on Wednesday. He has not yet been cleared to play.
--G Anthony Parker (strained lower back) has yet to practice after his back injury on Jan. 29.
