Roster Report

The Sports Xchange

--C Greg Monroe had his worst offensive night of the season against the Lakers Tuesday, scoring a season-low two points on 1-of-10 shooting. Monroe was distracted by the Lakers' length inside, as he had three of his shots blocked by either Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum. Coach Lawrence Frank went with the defensive combination of Ben Wallace and Jason Maxiell down the stretch, as Monroe played just 41 seconds after the third quarter.

--F Tayshaun Prince had 10 points and two rebounds Tuesday but those numbers belied his impact on the game. He made the go-ahead jumper in overtime and also hounded Kobe Bryant into 8-of-26 shooting. Bryant missed all three of three-point attempts during overtime.

"I had to pay so much attention to detail on the defensive end, I really didn't have anything offensively," Prince said. "I had a lot of open shots that I missed."

--G Ben Gordon suffered a sprained left ankle at Memphis Saturday but shook off the pain and played one of his best games in recent weeks against the Lakers. He not only scored 15 points, he contributed five assists and five rebounds with just one turnover. Gordon was scoreless in 15 minutes against the Grizzlies and had reached the 15-point mark just once in the previous seven games.

--F Charlie Villanueva (right ankle soreness) has missed the last 31 games. Villanueva returned to practice last week and could return as early as this weekend.
