The Nuggets will try to do something they've done just once in their 36-year history.
The Nuggets have fallen behind 2-0 in the playoffs 11 previous times, but only once have they come back. That was in 1994, when they trailed Seattle 2-0 in the first round but fought back to win the series 3-2.
Denver is down 2-0 to the Lakers in a Western Conference first-round series following Tuesday's 104-100 loss in Los Angeles. Game 3 is Friday in Denver.
The Nuggets are trying to avoid yet another shellacking at the hands of the Lakers. They've lost all five previous series to them and are now down 19-4 in playoff games between the teams.
Once again, the Nuggets had problems containing center Andrew Bynum on Tuesday. After having a triple-double of 10 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks in Game 1, Bynum turned to scoring in Game 2. He had 27 points to go along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
The Nuggets also had no answer for Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who scored a game-high 38 points. Guard Ty Lawson led Denver with 25 points.
