Though New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin participated in a 3-on-3 scrimmage during Wednesday's practice, coach Mike Woodson ruled Lin out for Game 3 of the first-round playoff series against the Miami Heat.
Woodson said he will meet with the team's medical staff Thursday to determine Lin's status going forward. While Lin has gradually increased his workload during his recovery from knee surgery, Woodson wants to see that he can handle making moves consistently.
"This is the first time he's been able to run up and down," Woodson told reporters. "He's gone through a lot of drills. The test is if he can cut and guard people and be able to handle the ball and make plays off the dribble."
