--F Glen Davis has been lauded for his effort in this series -- and he has played well at times -- but he has struggled to score around the basket against Pacers center Roy Hibbert, who has a five-inch height advantage. In three games, Davis has scored 16, 18 and 22 points, but he also has had 11 shots blocked by Hibbert.
--F Ryan Anderson has struggled as much as anyone in this series, and it has threatened to ruin an otherwise outstanding season. Anderson was a legitimate candidate for the league's Most Improved Player Award after averaging 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds, but he has struggled badly against the Pacers. Anderson has scored five, 11 and seven points in the three games. Without Dwight Howard to worry about, the Pacers have crowded him with forward David West and taken him out of the games.
--F Quentin Richardson received more than his usual playing time Wednesday because he was one of the few guys who brought consistent energy to the game. Richardson, who averaged 18 minutes and three rebounds during the regular season, had 10 rebounds in 27 minutes Wednesday.
--C Dwight Howard (herniated disk) will miss the playoffs after surgery.
--F Hedo Turkoglu (facial fracture) has been playing with a mask that obviously is bothering him.
--F Glen Davis (right ankle sprain) missed the regular-season finale, but he has looked strong in the playoffs.
