Different story in rebound battle

The Sports Xchange

--After getting beat 47-41 on the boards in Game 1, the Grizzlies responded with a 37-28 edge in Game 2.

"When you outrebound a team like we did and get 16 offensive rebounds, it's huge," Griz coach Lionel Hollins said. "We had 18 second-chance points."

--Game 3 is Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. CT at Los Angeles in Staples Center, where the Clippers have won three straight times over the Grizzlies, including twice this year (98-91 and 101-85). Last year, the Grizzlies won two road playoff games -- the series openers at San Antonio in round one and at Oklahoma City in the West semifinals.

--Memphis is 18-3 this season when scoring 100 points.

"This was a grind-out game, more of our style. Grind it out and play defense. Turn them over and get into transition." -- Griz guard Mike Conley.
