--After just nine months on the job, Brad Casper has resigned as Suns team president. Casper replaced Rick Welts, who left the Suns with after nine years with nine months left on his contract and took the president and chief operating officer position in Golden State days later.

Casper cited a heavy workload with other business interests as the reason for his departure, but it just didn't appear to be a good fit. Suns COO Jason Rawley will add the president's title to his business card and replace Casper.

--The Suns are planning a full uniform redesign for the 2013-14 season, but that won't keep them for adding a tweak this season.

In addition to their white, purple and orange models they have worn for the last decade, the Suns will add a black "throwback" jersey with the old Sunburst logo from the Charles Barkley era.

The black jerseys were very popular when the like of Barkley, Kevin Johnson, A.C. Green and Danny Ainge headed up the glory days that included a run to the 1992-93 NBA Finals.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Honestly, just stayed in the house. I work out literally from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. You know, with the wear and tear on my body, I'm so tired at 5 p.m., all I want to do is sleep. I work out, I go home; I just try to stay out the (spotlight)." -- New Sun Michael Beasley on his dedication to the game in the offseason.
