No Nash means virtually no national-TV games

--If you want a true barometer of expectations for the Suns this season, the 2012-13 season schedule tells the story.

Steve Nash's Jan. 30 return to Phoenix with the Los Angeles Lakers is the only Suns game that ABC or ESPN selected to air this season. Meanwhile, TNT picked two Suns home games -- Dec. 6 against Dallas and Jan. 24 against the Los Angeles Clippers. Not a single Phoenix road game was selected for national coverage -- quite a drop for a team that had consistent double-digit TV appearances during the Nash era.

--While Al McCoy rolls on as the voice of the Phoenix Suns on radio, the team will make another change on the television side. Veteran Steve Albert, brother of TNT voice Marv Albert and a longtime veteran broadcaster of basketball, boxing and many other sports, will replace Tom Leander this season. Leander will stay with the team as the in-studio host of the pregame, halftime and postgame shows, replacing Kevin Ray.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It's a very open style. They get out in transition, and that fits my style. And the way they swing the ball on the perimeter, everybody touches it. So it fits me well."-- New Suns guard Wesley Johnson.
