--Kevin Durant went into his first Olympics wanting to make sure he fit in with more accomplished teammates like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Durant didn't want to shoot too much or try to take over games.

Well, Durant became the team's leading scorer after heeding some advice from one of those famous teammates. Durant said that Bryant passed along this nugget: "Do what I do. Coming from one of the greatest players to ever play, I'll take that."

--The Oklahoma City Thunder will play a pair of home games at Chesapeake Energy Arena in addition to hosting contests in both Tulsa, Okla., and Wichita, Kan., as part of a seven-game preseason schedule leading up to the 2012-13 regular season.

Oklahoma City opens the preseason with a two-game road trip beginning in Hidalgo, Texas, versus the Houston Rockets at the State Farm Arena on Oct. 10 followed by a trip to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz on Oct. 12.

The Thunder returns to Chesapeake Energy Arena to face the Charlotte Bobcats on Oct. 16 prior to their fourth annual preseason contest at the BOK Center in Tulsa on Oct. 19 versus the Phoenix Suns. Two nights later, the Thunder rounds out preseason play at Chesapeake Energy Arena with a matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 21.

The Thunder concludes the preseason with a back-to-back set starting on Oct. 23 in Chicago versus the Bulls and the following night in Wichita to host the Dallas Mavericks at INTRUST Bank Arena.

"If it wasn't for the type of players that we have, it wouldn't be as enjoyable and I wouldn't look forward to it as much." -- Coach Scott Brooks.
