NEW YORK -- Indiana forward Ron Artest was fined $10,000 by the NBA on Thursday for shoving Dallas' Raja Bell and failing to leave the court quickly after being ejected.

Artest shoved Bell in the first quarter of the Pacers' 118-97 loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday. Artest had just made a layup, but it didn't count because a foul already had been called before he got the ball. As officials explained the whistle, Artest and Bell argued.

The pair was separated but then they went at each other again.

Artest was ejected because it was his second technical foul of the game.

An MRI test Thursday showed O'Neal sprained his left knee.

He was hurt in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Houston Rockets. He fell to the floor holding his knee, then was helped off the court.

He will be listed day-to-day after Friday's game.
