LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers placed
Shaun Livingston on the injured list Tuesday -- a day after the
19-year-old rookie dislocated his right kneecap during practice.
Livingston, the fourth player taken in last summer's draft, is expected
to be sidelined at least eight weeks. An MRI revealed no other
structural damage to the joint.
Livingston joins Chris Kaman and rookie
Lionel Chalmers on the Clippers' injured list. Kaman, the team's
starting center, hasn't played this season after spraining his ankle in
an exhibition game last month. He's expected to return to action shortly.
Livingston, who joined the Clippers directly out of Peoria (Ill.)
Central High, will begin a rehabilitation program soon and be
re-evaluated regularly. He has played in all 11 games, averaging 5.0
points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 21.2 minutes.
