DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks center Pavel Podkolzin underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a stress fracture in his right foot and will be out at least through January.
Team physician T.O. Souryal performed the procedure, which included inserting two screws in Podkolzin's foot. Podkolzin also had arthroscopic work done on his ankle.
A first-round pick in 2004, Podkolzin will be on crutches for six weeks. He is expected to have a total recovery time of up to four months.
