PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns signed forward Josh Davis to a 10-day contract Monday, filling a roster spot opened when guard Leandro Barbosa sprained his left knee on Nov. 19.
Barbosa has been rehabilitating his injury and could return to action this weekend.
The much-traveled Davis has played in 51 games with four NBA teams over the last three seasons, 42 with Philadelphia in 2004-05.
Davis, 25, was with Milwaukee and Houston this season, and the Rockets waived him last Wednesday.
He was the CBA's MVP in 2003-04 after averaging 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds for the Idaho Stampede, earning a 10-day contract with Atlanta in March 2004.
Before that, Davis played four years at Wyoming, and turned professional with Jesi of the Italian League.
