Knicks' Maurice Ndour: Out Wednesday with sprained ankle
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Ndour won't be available Wednesday against the Magic due to a sprained right ankle, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Ndour hasn't been more than a deep bench option for the Knicks this season, but his absence means the team will be even more shorthanded in the frontcourt Wednesday, as Joakim Noah (knee) and Willy Hernangomez (ankle) will also be sidelined. As a result, expect Kristaps Porzingis, Kyle O'Quinn and Lance Thomas to absorb nearly all the minutes at power forward or center.

Knicks' Kyle O'Quinn: Will start Wednesday vs. Magic
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

O'Quinn will start at center Wednesday against the Magic, Steve Popper of The Record reports.

As anticipated, O'Quinn will move into the lineup with both Joakim Noah (knee) and Willy Hernangomez (ankle) sidelined. Noah is expected to miss the rest of the season, whereas Hernangomez is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis, so for the time being, O'Quinn's appointment to the starting five looks like it could be short lived. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old could make for a high-risk, but appealing DFS punt-play target in tournaments, as he's shown the ability for putting up big lines when he sees extended minutes. O'Quinn has six double-doubles on his ledger and is averaging 1.4 blocks in just 15.5 minutes per game on the season.

Knicks' Willy Hernangomez: Ruled out Wednesday vs. Magic
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hernangomez (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Magic.

As expected, Hernangomez will be sidelined by a sprained left ankle, leaving the Knicks even more shorthanded up front after the team learned earlier in the week that Joakim Noah (knee) would likely be sidelined for the season. In the absence of Hernangomez, expect Kyle O'Quinn to pick up extra minutes at center, as he'll be the leading candidate to move into the starting lineup Wednesday.

Knicks' Kyle O'Quinn: Likely to start at center Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

O'Quinn will likely start at center for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Ian Begley of ESPN.com reports.

With Joakim Noah (knee) out for the season, Willy Hernangomez has taken over starting duties at center. However, Hernangomez is dealing with an ankle injury of his own and is fully expected to sit out Wednesday, which will allow O'Quinn to make another appearance with the top unit. O'Quin has been solid in eight previous starts this season, where he's averaged 9.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 20.3 minutes. He could see an even bigger workload as one of just two true centers available, although the Knicks could experiment with more Kristaps Porzingis at the center position as well.

Knicks' Willy Hernangomez: Unlikely to play Wednesday vs. Magic
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hernangomez (ankle) is unlikely to play in Wednesday's game against the Magic, Ian Begley of ESPN.com reports.

Hernangomez was held out of Tuesday's practice with what is being called a sprained left ankle and is now expected to remain sidelined for Wednesday's matchup with the Magic. He could return as soon as Friday's tilt with the 76ers, but in the meantime, look for Kyle O'Quinn to fill in as the team's starting center, while Kristaps Porzingis could shift over and see more time at the center position as well.
