New York0-10-1
Knicks' Derrick Rose: Scores 17 in Knicks debut Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rose scored 17 points (7-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding three rebounds, an assist and a block in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 117-88 loss to the Cavaliers.

The long-time Bull put together a solid line in his Knicks debut, as he took just one less shot than Carmelo Anthony. Rose has experience co-existing with a superstar wing in Chicago, but he wasn't able to average five assists a game playing alongside Jimmy Butler, and his distribution numbers could take a further tumble in New York with Anthony dominating the ball.

Knicks' Joakim Noah: Minimal impact Tuesday in Knicks debut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Noah failed to score a point, missing his only field goal attempt, while adding six rebounds, three assists and a steal in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 117-88 loss to the Cavaliers.

It wasn't exactly an impressive Knicks debut for Noah, who might not be quite in peak condition yet after dealing with lower-body injuries during the preseason. Even at 100 percent though, his main contributions will come in defensive stats as the team's offense flows primarily through Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose.

Knicks' Carmelo Anthony: Scores team-high 19 in season opener
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anthony scored 19 points (8-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 117-88 loss to the Cavaliers.

Even with Derrick Rose on the court, Anthony still took his usual spot at the top of the Knicks' food chain, leading the team in shots and scoring. His 21.8 points per game last season was his lowest output in over a decade, but if the 32-year-old can stay healthy, he does have the talent around him to do better.

Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Scores 16 in season opener
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Porzingis scored 16 points (5-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT) while adding seven rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 117-88 loss to the Cavaliers.

The second-year Latvian picked up right where he left off as a rookie. The Knicks' offense figures to revolve around Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony this season, potentially limiting Porzingis' offensive upside, but he should still make a big contribution in boards and blocks.

Knicks' Derrick Rose: Won't face minutes restriction Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rose won't face any sort of minutes restriction in Tuesday's season opener against the Cavaliers, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports.

Rose missed more than two weeks of preseason work while attending his civil trial in Los Angeles, but he's since been exonerated of the sexual assault allegations and returned to practice with the team over the weekend. While coach Jeff Hornacek admitted that Knicks teammates are still trying to get familiar with Rose after the limited preseason reps, that won't prevent the team from putting its best lineup on the court in the opener. With Rose set to reclaim his spot in the starting five, Brandon Jennings will move back to the bench after starting the majority of the preseason contests at point guard.
