Blazers didn't make offer to free agent Wesley Matthews
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer

The Trail Blazers didn't make an offer to free-agent guard Wesley Matthews, per The Oregonian.

Matthews, who agreed to a four-year deal with the Mavericks, played 60 games for the Blazers last season, averaging 15.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

The Blazers could potentially lose four starters from last season's team, with Nicolas Batum, Robin Lopez, LaMarcus Aldridge and Matthews all potentially joining new teams this offseason.

Damian Lillard, Trail Blazers agree to max contract
by Jason Butt |

Guard Damian Lillard has agreed to a maximum deal to remain with the Trail Blazers, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports.

Lillard's deal will be over five years and in the $120 million range. With the Blazers likely to lose LaMarcus Aldridge, it made a lot of sense for the franchise to spend its money on locking Lillard up to a max contract.

Lillard averaged 21.0 points, 6.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.4 three-pointers per game during the 2014-15 season.

Report: Trail Blazers to sign PF Ed Davis
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer

According to a report from Yahoo Sports, the Trail Blazers will sign former Lakers forward Ed Davis to a three-year, $20 million contract.

Davis had a breakout campaign for the Lakers in his fifth NBA campaign, averaging a career-high 8.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in 79 games last season. He opted out of his contract at the end of the season, setting the stage for a big pay day.

According to the report, the Blazers are still trying to re-sign forward LaMarcus Aldridge, and Davis could provide depth if Aldridge stays or a new starter at the position if Aldridge leaves.
