Wizards' John Wall: Expects to resume running by late July
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Wall (knee) is expected to resume running at full speed by late July, J. Michael of CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.

Wall underwent surgery May 5 to address both of his knees, with the right one requiring some minor cleanup and the left one requiring the removal of a bone spur. The point guard appears to be further along in his recovery with the right knee than the left knee, but he's already been able to start doing some light basketball-related activities. Wall played most of last season while nursing sore knees, but still posted career-high averages in points (19.9), assists (10.2), rebounds (4.9) steals (1.9) and three-pointers (1.5). If he enters the 2016-17 season at full health as expected and is able to do a better job of avoiding the sort of recurring issues that dogged him the season before, Wall could take his production to even greater heights.

Wizards' Sheldon McClellan: Signs partially guaranteed deal with Washington
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

McClellan signed a partially guaranteed contract with the Wizards on Thursday, Jonathan Givony of Draft Express reports.

Teams were reportedly offering to select McClellan in the second round of Thursday's draft as a stash option, but the Miami product elected to take his fate in his own hands and become an undrafted free agent. After reaching an agreement with the Wizards, he'll likely be invited to participate in both summer league and training camp with the team, but he'll still be on the outside looking in for a roster spot once the season begins. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard averaged 16.3 points and shot 40.6 percent from three-point range as a college senior.

Wizards' Danuel House: Agreed to deal with Wizards
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

House agreed to a deal with the Wizards Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.

At 6-foot-7, 215 pounds, House boasts great size for the small forward position. Scouts, however, don't believe he lived up to his potential after four years of college at both Houston and Texas A&M. While he scored an impressive 15.6 points per game his senior year, he shot just 30 percent from behind the arc and 40 percent from the field overall. His inefficiencies paired with underwhelming athleticism on the defensive may limit his potential as an NBA prospect, but the Wizards will give the wing a shot headed into summer league.
