Bulls report: Getting inside

The Bulls showed some encouraging signs in their first two games after adding guard Larry Hughes and forward Drew Gooden from Cleveland.

During a loss to Houston on Sunday, the Bulls were able to play at a faster pace with their new streamlined lineup. But the Rockets buried 13 of 24 shots from 3-point range and pulled away late.

The following night in Dallas, the Bulls demonstrated some character by refusing to fold after the Mavericks jumped to an early 22-6 lead.

The outcomes, however, were road losses against two difficult Western Conference opponents. Now the Bulls get to see if they are good enough to win in the much weaker Eastern Conference.

Their final stop on a three-game road trip is Indiana on Wednesday. The Bulls are 2-15 all-time at Conseco Fieldhouse but have a chance to make up some ground. Like the Bulls, the Pacers are one of several teams playing poorly yet still within easy striking distance of the final playoff spots in the East.

MAVERICKS 102, BULLS 94: The Bulls had to deal with the celebrated home debut of Jason Kidd for Dallas on Monday. After arriving in a trade from New Jersey last week, Kidd's first three games for the Mavericks were on the road.

Dallas was clearly fired up at the start of the game and jumped to a 22-6 advantage. The Bulls battled back but couldn't overcome the early deficit.

Guard Kirk Hinrich received the first ejection of his NBA career late in the second quarter for arguing an out-of-bounds call.

After falling behind by 17 points early, the Bulls fought back to get as close as 57-55 midway through the third quarter. Dallas went back up by 13, but the Bulls were still within 93-88 with 2:39 remaining.

Ben Gordon led the Bulls with 25 points.

While it's only been 8 games so far, and with a 4-4 record, (3-1 at home and 1-3 on the road) the team has had it's good times and down times so far in the early part of 09/10.  I've really liked what I've seen with our defense this season.  We are a much better defensive squad than we were a year ago, however, it must be said that our offense is much worse than it was a year ago.&n ...(more)

(POLL) This is a very touchy subject among nba guru's and it sure will stir up some debate and controversies, however, being the statistical nut that I am, I've done my best to determine the top 200 NBA Players as we speak right now for 2009/2010 NBA Season. (Injured players included).

My top 10 players in the nba would be: 1.

Brad Miller can't seem to do anything anymore. He misses his wide-open jumpshot all the time now. He's paid to make that shot when's wide open, but he seems to miss is every single time! He seems to get out-rebounded every night too. Players on other teams fight way harder than him for the rebound which whenever he's in the other ...(more)

I read in an article that an option at SG for tomorrows game against the Bucks could be James Johnson.
With Hinrich most likely out against Milwaukie, the Bulls have Rose,Salmons,Pargo and Hunter to use in th

I couldn't resist to start off a thread involving Breakout Performances for 2009/2010. Sure it's only been about 13 or so games into the season so far, but there are several players who are worth taking notice to. These guys have all stepped up and become better players whether it be starting or coming off the bench, here are the Breakout Performers for 2009/2010 so far.

Thomas is out 4-6 weeks with a broken forearm from lifting. This isnt good news for the Bulls.  I think we will see more playing time from Johnson now. Gibson will be the starter.  Someone else needs to bring the energy now.  I hope Bulls come out of this ok.

Here is the Chi-Town Bulls Pick for the Props Game. Im making this new thread because we've added a part da game where on the days that the Bulls play you pick the winners for the games on that day besides the winner in the Bulls game. Why not the bulls game? cause i would think that all Bulls fans would pick their team to win. aigh ...(more)

why not ??   their not going anywhere without allen iverson,  why not see if he can provide some offensive spark and team energy..  he can start ahead of salmons who would provide offense off the bench..

give iverson a one year  deal and see where it takes you, if it fails it cost nothing to waive him...

Here is the Official Chi-Town Bulls Guess the Stat, Get the Props Game. I worked with ChiTown1 and we figured out the best way to run things. Here is how the game works. You pick who will have the most points, rebounds, assist, steals, blocks, and turnovers. You can only pick players that are on the Bulls squad though. Don't ...(more)

The Bulls problem so far this year is they can't play both ends of floor at a high level at the same time.  This could be signs of a relatively young team.  If a young team improves and exerts more energy on one end physically and mentally they get complacent on the other.  Finally when the Bulls players are starting to shoot ...(more)

their defense is great now that BG is gone, sure Rose is in a slump but Salmons is coming back on. Deng is solid and Jaokim Noah is now the best player on the team, man does he look good. Since the Bears stink I am really looking forward to more Bulls!
