The Bulls showed some encouraging signs in their first two games after adding guard Larry Hughes and forward Drew Gooden from Cleveland.

During a loss to Houston on Sunday, the Bulls were able to play at a faster pace with their new streamlined lineup. But the Rockets buried 13 of 24 shots from 3-point range and pulled away late.

The following night in Dallas, the Bulls demonstrated some character by refusing to fold after the Mavericks jumped to an early 22-6 lead.

The outcomes, however, were road losses against two difficult Western Conference opponents. Now the Bulls get to see if they are good enough to win in the much weaker Eastern Conference.

Their final stop on a three-game road trip is Indiana on Wednesday. The Bulls are 2-15 all-time at Conseco Fieldhouse but have a chance to make up some ground. Like the Bulls, the Pacers are one of several teams playing poorly yet still within easy striking distance of the final playoff spots in the East.

MAVERICKS 102, BULLS 94: The Bulls had to deal with the celebrated home debut of Jason Kidd for Dallas on Monday. After arriving in a trade from New Jersey last week, Kidd's first three games for the Mavericks were on the road.

Dallas was clearly fired up at the start of the game and jumped to a 22-6 advantage. The Bulls battled back but couldn't overcome the early deficit.

Guard Kirk Hinrich received the first ejection of his NBA career late in the second quarter for arguing an out-of-bounds call.

After falling behind by 17 points early, the Bulls fought back to get as close as 57-55 midway through the third quarter. Dallas went back up by 13, but the Bulls were still within 93-88 with 2:39 remaining.

Ben Gordon led the Bulls with 25 points.

Teams have refused to stand still in the last week or two, several players are going to their new teams who either drafted them, traded for them or will sign them as a free agent.

Only a few days into the NBA Free Agency and about a week since the NBA draft, but the landscape of strength in the nba is still changing. Several teams are very active in free agent negotiations, drafting and signing rookies, and some teams are in trade discussions, here is what has taken place so far.

Here are my current team rankings based on player movement this off-season:

Im going to make a prediction here and say the Bulls land a 5 seed, and win their first round matchup but lose in the 2nd round. I may be crazy and very optomistic but this team has a lot of potential and a ton of confidence after their loss in the playoffs to Boston.

I like what the Bulls have for this upcoming yr and am very o

2010 cap may limit signings

By Marc Stein

ESPN.com

The NBA's ballyhooed free-agent summer of 2010 might have quietly taken another hit late Tuesday night.

In a memo announcing next season's salary cap and luxury-tax threshold, sent out shortly before the league's annual July moratorium on signings and trades was lifted at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, NBA teams also received tentat ...(more)

From everything I heard and read, the Bulls did try and make trades last night. The problem: not everybody is sold on the Bulls young players. The one player they might be able to move is Kirk Hinrich, and last I heard, the Blazers had the best offer, which would have given the Bulls Raef LaFrentz's contract and Channing Frye.

Bulls fans, if this list doesn't make you salivate or foam at the mouth, then your not a die-hard Bulls fan. This is what is available for next summer and since Chicago didn't restrict it's future salary cap by giving 11 million dollars a year for a one-dimensional scorer named ...(more)

Are there any free agents that the Bulls are considering going after?

Right now the roster:

PG- Rose / Hinrich
SG- Salmons / Nelson
SF- Deng / Johnson / Tm Thomas
PF- Tyrus / Gibson
 C- Noah / Miller

so when I look at our roster I think we need SG help of course, even more that BG is

So on some RUMOR sites i've been looking up the Bulls. I've seen alot on the Bulls and Allen Iverson, however the bulls stated that they didn't want A.I. and there is a 0% chance of A.I. being a Bull. However i've seen talks about Jannero Pargo returning to the bulls. ...(more)

(POLL) It sounds like the Bulls are interested in bringing back Jannero Pargo. Pargo had some big games for the Bulls and Hornets before he headed to Europe last season. He's a VERY streaky scorer, but he knows that is his role.

One option that would be a good one-year, stop ga

I thought I would compare all the current nba power fowards and what each players production has been throughout their career per 36 minutes (normal starter minutes and an actual nba stat). Here is what each player has produced so far to date.
