PLAYER NOTES

--F Luol Deng returned to the starting lineup for Monday's game at Dallas after coming off the bench in his first three games back from an Achilles tendon injury. Deng finished with 10 points and nine rebounds and hit 3 of 9 shots.

--F Drew Gooden had 17 points and eight rebounds in his second game with the Bulls, a loss to the Mavericks on Monday.

--G Larry Hughes scored 14 points Monday in Dallas but wasn't all that sharp. He hit just 4-of-11 shots and committed three turnovers.

--G Chris Duhon did not play for the second straight game since the Bulls added Larry Hughes in a trade with Cleveland.

--F Demetris Nichols may head for another D-League assignment later this week.
