--The Cavs are starting Ramon Sessions and Anthony Parker in the backcourt. Coach Byron Scott's first two guards off the bench are Gibson and Manny Harris. All that could change when Mo Williams returns. That's still possibly a week away. Williams (hip flexor strain) has yet to practice, even though he's close. He would eventually move back into the starting lineup and one of the guards (possibly Harris?) wouldn't play at all.
--Since the turn of the calendar on Jan. 1, a span of 20 games, F Antawn Jamison is averaging 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals. League sources say he might be difficult to trade by the Feb. 24 deadline because he has an additional year left on his contract after this one.
--G-F Christian Eyenga had 15 points and four rebounds against Dallas on Monday. He's scored in double figures in each of his last four games. He's made more improvement in his game since the start of training camp than any player on the roster.
--C Anderson Varejao (torn tendon in right foot) will have surgery on Feb. 12. He'll miss three to four months.
--F Leon Powe (right knee surgery) will be out another month. He has returned to the court for some light shooting.
--G Mo Williams (hip flexor strain) had a cortisone shot in his left hip. He's starting to run on the practice court.
