--Some have wondered why C Semih Erden hasn't met with the Cleveland media. He doesn't speak English. Many thought he had a sore shoulder, but the Cavs say he's suffering from a strained groin. He practiced for the first time on Thursday. His conditioning is still iffy. "It's still going to take him two or three practices before I feel comfortable and probably before he even feels comfortable enough to go out there," Cavs coach Byron Scott said.
--G-F Christian Eyenga has been taken out of the starting lineup because of his defense. But his offense is just fine, thank you. He has made 3-of-3 three-pointers in each of the last two games. In those two games, he's averaging 12 points.
--G Daniel Gibson has been shut down indefinitely with a left quadriceps injury. "We want to hold him back for a few more days," coach Byron Scott said. "We want to go three or four days with no contact to try and get that thing to calm down."
--C Anderson Varejao (torn tendon in right foot) had surgery on Feb. 12. He'll miss three to four months.
--G Daniel Gibson (bruised left quadriceps) will be shut down for three or four days.
--C Semih Erden (right adductor strain/sore shoulder/conditioning) will be sidelined for about a week.
