--G Baron Davis was in Los Angeles to attend his grandmother's funeral on Tuesday and missed Wednesday's game against Sacramento. He may rejoin the team for Thursday's game in Portland, or at the latest, in time for Saturday's game against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers. Coach Byron Scott said he has been in touch with Davis through text messages and phone calls.
--F J.J. Hickson has 16 double-doubles since Jan. 9, the second most in the league during that span. During the last 10 games, Hickson has compiled averages of 13.5 points and 10.4 rebounds.
--F Samardo Samuels is averaging 7.2 points per game, second in the NBA among all undrafted rookies. Samuels replaced injured veteran Antawn Jamison in the starting lineup seven games ago, and he is averaging more than 12 points and six rebounds in that span.
--C Anderson Varejao (torn tendon in right foot) had surgery on Feb. 12. He'll miss three to four months.
--F Antawn Jamison (left little finger fracture) is expected to miss the rest of the season. Jamison rejoined the team Wednesday, wearing street clothes, for the three-game West Coast trip. Coach Byron Scott said he asked Jamison to come on the trip because of Jamison's leadership.
--C Semih Erden (strained adductor muscle) is day-to-day. The Cavs hope he'll be ready Saturday's game in Los Angeles against the Clippers.
