--C Chris Andersen has been in a swatting mood. For the second time this week, Andersen had five blocked shots in a game Friday against Washington. He also had five Monday against Toronto. But Andersen, in the 114-94 win over the Wizards, did a lot more than just block shots. In just 21 minutes, Andersen also shot 7-for-7 from the field for 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
--G Ty Lawson had a sinus infection and a sore throat before Friday's game against Washington, but he played anyway. Lawson sure didn't look sick. In 35 minutes, he shot 7-for-11 for 17 points and had six assists. The Nuggets only have two true point guards on the roster, Lawson and Raymond Felton, so it would take a lot for either to sit out.
--G Gary Forbes got the start Friday at shooting guard against Washington because both Arron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler were out due to injuries. "He's my utility infielder," Nuggets coach George Karl said of Forbes, who often either starts or doesn't play. Over Denver's past 15 games, Forbes has started four times and not played six times.
--G Arron Afflalo (strained left hamstring) has missed the past three games. He's hopeful of returning Wednesday against Sacramento.
--F Wilson Chandler (sprained left ankle) sat out Friday against Washington. He's day-to-day.
--Point guard Ty Lawson
--Shooting guard Gary Forbes
--Small forward Danilo Gallinari
--Power forward Kenyon Martin
--Forward Al Harrington
--Guard J.R. Smith
--Center Chris Andersen
--Guard Raymond Felton
