PLAYER NOTES

--G Stephen Curry continues to impress. He was selected as one of 15 finalists for the United States' entrant in the FIBA World Championship this summer. The list of guards making the cut was impressive: Chauncey Billups, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, Russell Westbrook, Andre Iguodala and Curry. No doubt, Curry quickly has become the face of the Warriors' franchise.

--G Jannero Pargo gives the Warriors more of what they already had -- another small guard. That said, he has experience at both guard positions, so he likely enters training camp as the team's primary backup at both positions. His shooting percentage (under 40 percent four of the last five seasons) is scary, but he makes his free throws (93.3 percent last season) and protects the ball well (less than a turnover a game last year), so he's a candidate to get some late game minutes when the Warriors are protecting a lead.

--G Jeremy Lin participated in Yao Ming's charity basketball game in Taiwan last month. Lin, whose parents came to America from Taiwan in 1971, was joined by NBA veterans and draft choices Chase Budinger, Brandon Jennings, Amir Johnson, Aaron Brooks, Luke Babbitt, DaJuan Summers and Hasheem Thabeet in an exhibition against the Shanghai Sharks, the Chinese National Team.

DRAFT PICK

--Ekpe Udoh, F, 6-10, Baylor (first round, No. 6) -- The Warriors had hoped the third time is the charm with slender power forwards, but now Udoh is out 4-6 months after undergoing wrist surgery. When he comes back, they hope Udoh will be an upgrade over returnees Brandan Wright and Anthony Randolph in terms of toughness and defensive presence. Wright is coming off a shoulder injury, and Randolph was traded to New York.
