--G Kevin Martin kept going to the line as if the Jazz assumed that if he took enough free throws, eventually he would miss one. He never did. The Jazz fouled him on three consecutive last-minute possessions, the first two well before they had to, as Martin made all six free throws before the Jazz fouled someone else. Martin went 18 of 18 from the line, the most free throws made by a Rockets player without a miss. With 34 points, he has led the Rockets in scoring in four consecutive games.
--F Patrick Patterson returned to a role coming off the bench, but produced just as he had been and then some. Patterson scored eight of his 14 points in the fourth quarter and finished with a personal-best 13 rebounds. He has three consecutive double-doubles, the longest run for a Rockets rookie since Yao Ming since 2002-03.
--G Kyle Lowry shot the Rockets past the rough spots when they were misfiring and set the Rockets up when they were hitting their shots, but did not stop there. He scored 28 points on just 14 shots, had 10 assists with just one turnover and a career-high 11 rebounds, giving him the first triple-double of his career.
