--The primary reason the Clippers have been able to mount late charges has been their effort on the boards, and that was the case Saturday. The Clippers outrebounded the Raptors 51-40, with nine players snatching down at least one board. Blake Griffin had a team-high 16 boards, and Chris Kaman added 12.
--The Clippers are still trying to do too much off of the dribble, rather than sticking to offensive sets or screen-and-rolls. Against the Raptors, the Clippers had seven players turn the ball over at least once, mostly due to too much one-on-one action that led to dribbles bounding off feet or ending up in a Toronto player's hands.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"There was no reason for that. Chris was setting a legal screen. Fisher came up high with the elbow. The NBA will make those decisions." -- Coach Vinny Del Negro, on the arguing between Chris Kaman and the Lakers' Derek Fisher, following Fisher's screen in Friday's game. Kaman was ejected for his role in the fracas.
