PLAYER NOTES

--F Corey Maggette was acquired from the Warriors along with Golden State's second-round draft pick (No. 44 overall) for C Dan Gadzuric and G Charlie Bell. The move gives the Bucks a proven scorer -- Maggette averaged 19.8 points per game last season -- in case John Salmons bolts in free agency.

--G Brandon Jennings is working out in Los Angeles. The 169-pound Jennings is on a strength program designed by Jeff Macy, the Bucks strength and conditioning coach. Macy recently flew to Los Angels to check up on Jennings and was impressed with his progress. One of the players working out with Jennings is Timberwolves F Kevin Love.

--G John Salmons still hasn't accepted a contract extension from the Bucks. Terms of the offer haven't been revealed. Salmons, who played a major role in leading the Bucks into postseason play after being acquired from the Bulls in February, has an opt-out clause in his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Salmons would be paid $5.8 million next season if he accepted the Bucks' extension offer but would probably receive more as a free agent.

--F Darnell Jackson has faithfully been working out at the Bucks' training facility in St. Francis. Jackson, whom the Bucks signed late in the regular season after he was released by the Cavaliers, has been working on his footwork and shot. Jackson will be the only player from the Bucks' 2009-10 roster who will participate in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

MEDICAL WATCH

--C Andrew Bogut (dislocated elbow, sprained wrist and two broken fingers) won't be playing for his beloved Australian national team this summer in the FIBA World Championship in Turkey. But Bogut insisted he should be completely healthy for the start of training camp.

--G Michael Redd (torn ACL and MCLs) has been rehabbing in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, after undergoing surgery on March 2. Redd said he's been told that he's actually ahead of his recovery schedule and expects to rejoin the Bucks when they gather for training camp in October.
