--G Marcus Thornton, who didn't even get into the game during a 99-93 victory at Orlando on Friday, led the New Orleans offense against the Bulls on Saturday. He scored a game-high and season-high 24 points, making nine of 15 shots, including three of four 3-pointers. He also matched the team high with six rebounds.
--F David West was one of few Hornets who were consistent on offense Saturday. He made six of 11 shots and finished with 17 points. But after averaging 16 rebounds in the previous two games, he had just two.
--F Trevor Ariza, playing his second game after returning from a sprained right ankle, seemed to show the effects of playing 40 minutes on that ankle one night earlier. He made just two of eight shots Saturday and missed all three of his 3-pointers. He had just two rebounds in 34 minutes.
--G Jarrett Jack has scored in double figures in three consecutive games for the first time as a Hornet. He had 10 against the Bulls, following games of 13 against the Magic and 12 against the Nets. He has made 12 of 22 field-goal attempts during the three-game stretch.
--C Emeka Okafor (strained oblique) has missed the past seven games. He could be out until after the All-Star break.
