--G James Anderson got his first significant playing time Friday since his return from a broken foot due to Gary Neal sitting this one out with mild concussion symptoms. The rookie from Oklahoma State played 18 minutes, hit two of five shots, including 1-for-4 from 3-point range, for six points. He also added two assists and a rebound.
--G Manu Ginobili is starting to come around with his shot, going 8-for-16 from the field Friday against New Jersey for a team-high 26 points. It was the third time in four games in which he's hit at least six baskets, although it's the first game in that span that he's hit for 50 percent. His 3-point shot, however, remains adrift. He was 1-for-4 Friday and is 5-for-27 in his last seven games.
--F Richard Jefferson put up the dreaded goose-egg from the field Friday night, missing all seven of his field-goal attempts in 25:44 of game time. It's the third time this season that Jefferson, the Spurs' starting small forward, has missed all of his field-goal attempts in a game.
