PLAYER NOTES

--Tim Duncan spent the final 8 minutes, 51 seconds of the first half on the bench after collecting three fouls. He finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds for his league-leading 30th double-double.

--Michael Finley so far hasn't had any trouble adjusting to his role as a reserve. He scored 13 points off the bench Monday to go along with the 12 he had Saturday. He made 5 of 10 three-pointers in the two games.

--With Bruce Bowen struggling with his shot, coach Gregg Popovich pulled Brent Barry off the bench in the third quarter. Barry, who didn't play in Saturday's victory, made the most of his eight minutes. He hit a three-pointer and drew a charge on Pau Gasol to help the Spurs pull away from Memphis late in the third quarter.

--With the Spurs struggling to keep the Grizzlies off the boards, coach Gregg Popovich played Nazr Mohammed 15 minutes. Mohammed, like all of the Spurs' big men, struggled to stay out of foul trouble, but played well. He totaled four points, two rebounds and two blocks.
