Notes, Quotes
--Wizards guard John Wall represented the Wizards at the draft this year, hoping to generate some of the good luck that last season resulted in the Wizards moving up into the top position and allowed them to select Wall. Wall wanted to bring the yellow blazer worn by Irene Pollin -- wife of former owner Abe -- at last spring's draft. He also wanted to bring the pearls that she wore last season. He had no such luck getting his hands on either.
--The players appear to like the new red, white and blue uniforms that the Wizards introduced as their new uniforms earlier this month. The uniforms hearken back to the team's uniforms in the late '70s and early '80s. Pretty much everybody associated with the organization was glad to see the old uniforms go. There is no talk, however, that the team's name might revert to Bullets.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"She's as good as it gets when you are talking about luck. At least in my book." -- Guard John Wall on his mother, Frances Pulley, who accompanied him to the draft as his good luck charm.
