Andrew Bynum meeting with Hawks; Mavs next

UPDATED 9:21 p.m. ET

While he considers a two-year offer from Cleveland, Andrew Bynum met with Hawks officials in Atlanta on Tuesday and is expected to visit with the Mavericks on Wednesday, league sources told CBSSports.com.

Bynum, 25, missed the entire 2012-13 season with knee injuries after he was traded to Philadelphia as part of the four-team deal that sent Dwight Howard from the Magic to the Lakers. With Howard choosing to sign with the Houston Rockets and Andre Iguodala going to Golden State, Bynum will become the third key participant in the Howard trade to change teams in fewer than 12 months.

The Mavericks, who like the Hawks were rebuffed in their free-agent pursuit of Howard, also have expressed interest in signing Bynum. An All-Star in 2011-12, Bynum will likely have to accept a short-term, incentive-laden deal that will minimize his new team's exposure to injury risk while also giving Bynum the opportunity to flourish again if healthy.

Yahoo Sports reported that Cleveland has offered Bynum a two-year deal that could be worth as much as $24 million with playing-time incentives, including a team option in 2014-15.
