Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports that the deal between Carr and the Cowboys is for five years and $50.1 million. That's a fairly amusing number considering that Cortland Finnegan, the other top corner on the market, just signed with the Rams for five years and $50 million.
Carr, drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, blossomed into one of the top man-cover corners in the NFL. He was deemed expendable by Kansas City when they signed ex-Raider Stanford Routt prior to free agency and decided to use their franchise tag on wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
