This Sean Pamphilon/Steve Gleason/Gregg Williams audio story just got a little more interesting.

Already, you know that Pamphilon, a filmmaker who was shooting a documentary on former Saints player Gleason, released audio of a Gregg Williams rant in a pregame meeting. By releasing the tape on YouTube, that provided NFL fans with the chance to listen to Williams try to pump up the Saints by asking them to specifically target injuries that already had been suffered by 49ers players.

Gleason, who brought Pamphilon into the meeting room as a guest, said Pamphilon didn't have the authorization to release the audio. Pamphilon said he did.

Either way, Pamphilon told Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver that the NFL wants those tapes.

In fact, Pamphilon said NFL security called him four times Friday, but before he complies, Pamphilon wants Roger Goodell “to answer real questions first.” He also told Silver that he has copies of the tape "in several locations.”

Pamphilon expects the tapes to be subpoenaed eventually, but until then, he doesn't sound real inclined to give them up without a fight. Whether he had authorization to release those tapes in the first place is unclear, but now that some of the audio is out there, the NFL wants to hear all that he has in his possession.
