Browns DL Kiante Tripp arrested on burglary charges
Kiante Tripp, a Browns defensive lineman who played in three games last year, was arrested Tuesday in Atlanta and charged with burglary.
Tripp and two others are accused of threatening people inside an apartment and then trashing the place before leaving, according to Fox 5 News in Atlanta. Police say the three were looking for a man who apparently had stolen money from them and were told by neighbors that Tripp and the two others had guns.
One of the three also has been charged with marijuana possession.
In a statement obtained by the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns general manager Tom Heckert said the team is investigating.
Tripp joined the Browns practice squad last September and eventually moved to the active roster, where he accumulated one tackle in three games.
