Josh Gordon selected in 2nd round by Browns in supplemental draft
If there was one standout in Thursday's NFL supplemental draft, it was former Baylor receiver Josh Gordon, who was projected to go between the third and the fifth rounds.
Not so fast. Try the second round to the Browns.
That's the word from CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora's league source, as Gordon will join 2012 first-round pick Brandon Weeden to help try turn around the Cleveland franchise. It also means the Browns will lose their second pick in the 2013 draft.
According to draft observers, Gordon has top-flight receiver skills, but he's also had plenty of off-the-field issues that would have lead to many teams having serious concerns about him.
Luckily for Gordon, the Browns were not one of those teams.
