Cameron Wake attended practice on Tuesday but didn't participate and it turns out that the Dolphins defensive end was involved in a minor car accident on Monday.
Good news though: he's fine. Or, at least, he has "no visible injuries" according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The paper reports, via the police, that Wake "slammed his black BMW into the side of a white Lexus that made a left turn in front of him at the intersection" around lunch time on Monday.
Both cars involved in the accident are apparently "considered totaled" according to the police.
The Sun-Sentinel believes "it's possible Wake could sit out" of Friday's game in Carolina, depending on how long any minor injuries to Wake linger.
The defensive end was wearing his seat belt, his airbags deployed and no alchohol, per police, was involved in the accident.
Assuming Wake's OK now (and it sure seems like he is, since the team hasn't said anything and there's nothing in Joe Philbin's quotesheet from Tuesday about it), it could be kind of interesting to see if this little incident finds its way into Hard Knocks on Tuesday evening. Even if it does, it's probably going to be a sideshow, since reports indicate that Chad Ochocinco's release will be televised during this episode.
