Although the 88-yard touchdown pass that Robert Griffin III made to Pierre Garcon inspired a new meme (Griffining, obviously), it also led to a foot injury for Garcon that likely will keep him out of Sunday's game vs. the Rams.
That's according to CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora, who is reporting that the Redskins are preparing to play without their top wide receiver.
The fact Garcon didn't practice this week certainly won't help his cause when Washington works him out Sunday to see if he possibly can play. Garcon said after last week's win against the Saints that he wanted to return to the game, but the foot injury might be worse than he originally thought.
"I'd be really surprised if he played at this point," the source told La Canfora. "It's pretty hard to play when the first time you really even try it is before the game."
