Fred Jackson says he's 70-75 percent likely to play Sunday

With the positive news that the Bills believe running back C.J. Spiller has a strained AC joint and not a separated shoulder, likely keeping him out a week or two, Buffalo needs a boost in the running game this weekend.

Fred Jackson will try to provide it.

Speaking to reporters Monday, Jackson -- who's been out since Week 1 with a sprained LCL -- said he was 70-75 percent likely to play Sunday against the Patriots.

“I like my chances,” Jackson said. “If we like what we see, then I'll be out there Sunday.”

Jackson said returning for the New England game was always the goal and that if he plays, he'll have to wear a custom brace. Coach Chan Gailey said Jackson likely would practice Wednesday or Thursday and that his comeback from the knee injury has been “amazing."
