Falcons WR Julio Jones returns after leg injury

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

UPDATE: Falcons receiver Julio Jones, battling a leg injury, returned to the game midway thorugh the third quarter.

----------

With the Falcons locked in an NFC South matchup against the Saints, Atlanta will have to be without one of its top playmakers for the time being. That's because Falcons trainers have taken receiver Julio Jones to the locker room to further examine his leg, and the team has announced he's questionable to return.

The Falcons took a 10-point lead just six minutes into the game, and Jones, on the day, has caught two passes for 14 yards, but early in the second quarter, New Orleans had taken a 14-10 lead.

During the week, Atlanta receiver Roddy White discussed his hatred for the Saints and their city, but if Jones can't return anytime soon, the Falcons goal of actually beating New Orleans will have gotten just a little harder.
