Brandon Weeden (shoulder) won't return to game

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden took a shot from Broncos linebacker Von Miller late in the third quarter and had to leave the game with a right-shoulder injury. He will not return to the game.

As Weeden walked with team trainers to the locker room, backup Colt McCoy entered the game and proceeded to take a sack by rookie Derek Wolfe on his first play under center, forcing Cleveland to punt.

With the Browns losing 21-6 at the time and with Weeden completing a pedestrian 12 of 19 for 104 yards, Miller came off the right side of the line unimpeded and unblocked, and he sacked Weeden for a 9-yard loss.

Weeden was originally announced as questionable to return, but he was eventually downgraded.
