Cardinals to interview Andy Reid for head coaching job

Team president Michael Bidwill said, via the team website, that he would interview former Eagles coach Andy Reid (also fired Monday) and Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for Whisenhunt's old job.

Bidwill seemed pretty flexible when talking about what he was looking for in a head coach. He's not sure if he'll hire a general manager or a head coach first, and he seems open to the possibility of hiring a coach who would want team-personnel power (like, ahem, possibly Reid).

Bidwill doesn't expect this to be a quick hire, though, and he said he could decide to interview other candidates, as well.

But still, throwing out Reid's name shows that at least somebody else in the league believes in his coaching prowess.
