Dallas Stars fire Tony Romo-related shot at Cowboys over Twitter
Don't know if you heard (or care), but the NHL lockout is over and hockey is BACK. (Actually, hockey should be really fun this season, as it's just a real long sprint to the playoffs.)
And because they're sitting at home, the Cowboys aren't thrilled about the return of hockey. They let the world know with a "nobody cares" tweet that I believe was directed at the Dallas Stars, who were all excited about the return of hockey.
The Stars went full-blown #sickburn in return, tossing up, as Eye on Hockey's Adam Gretz notes, a picture of a legendary No. 9 Mike Modano hoisting the Stanley Cup after 1999.
At least our #9 got the job done..... RT:" @dallascowboys Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!" twitter.com/DallasStars/st…

No. 9 for the Cowboys on the other hand, is obviously Tony Romo. He did not get the job done for the Cowboys against the Redskins and the Cowboys are sitting at home. That made them angry and they did what a lot of people with a Twitter account do when they're angry -- lash out.
And they want you to know that ... they're soooory.
@dallasstars our sincere apologies for the inappropriate tweet posted accidentally to our account. Good luck this season.

The Cowboys also deleted the original tweet because, you know, they got torched. It's kind of hilarious that they tried to claim they "accidentally" posted the "nobody cares!" bit though.
Sure, the NFL is a billion times better than hockey, but that's slightly disingenuous to say the least.
